Unlock Health announces strategic leadership appointments to drive next evolution of growth

Unlock Health is announcing key additions to its executive leadership team. These appointments follow two years of integration work to create a single, unified leadership team and comprehensive marketing services offering, as well as strong growth, and strengthens Unlock Health’s operational leadership as the company transitions from fast-growing startup to mature, performance-driven, high growth agency partner.
- Matt Silver, a seasoned agency executive, has been named General Manager of Integrated Marketing Services
- Shannon Curran, who has been instrumental in overseeing Integrated Marketing for Unlock Health since its 2023 launch, has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer
- Christian Barnett, an experienced strategist, joins as Group Lead of Strategy and Creative in Integrated Marketing Services
- D. Neil Gissler has joined Unlock Health’s Board of Directors
- Tamara Jurgenson has joined as an Independent Director

Matt Silver joins as General Manager of Integrated Marketing, and he brings more than two decades of agency leadership experience from top firms, including McCann Health, Razorfish Health and The Bloc North America. In his role, Matt will be responsible for unifying cross-channel marketing efforts across existing client portfolios to ensure better brand performance.
In the first-ever Chief Marketing Officer role for Unlock Health, Shannon Curran now oversees the agency’s marketing strategy and new business efforts. As a trusted advisor to healthcare brands for more than 20 years, Shannon brings unmatched insight into healthcare communications and a passion for delivering measurable, strategic growth. She will elevate the Unlock Health brand and drive the thought leadership and demand generation necessary to sustain long-term growth.
Christian Barnett brings decades of experience leading strategy for not only top health systems, but for some of today’s biggest consumer brands. Christian is known for driving strategies and creative ideas with big impact, including helping hospitals deliver ideas and community activations that rival top consumer brands in engagement and memorability.
As a new board member, D. Neil Gissler, a seasoned executive with more than 35 years of experience leading integrated marketing services, technology consulting, and IT services, brings extensive expertise in business strategy, service delivery, P&L management, and go-to-market design. Neil served most recently as global chief operating officer of Merkl and later global chief operating officer of Dentsu.
As Independent Director of Unlock Health’s Board since early 2023, Tamara Jurgenson brings deep marketing, strategy, and growth leadership experience at companies including Oak Street Health, Newark element14, and GROHE. In addition to her role with Unlock Health, Tamara is the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at MyCare Medical Group, an Independent Director at Reverence Care, an Advisor at Coalition Operators, and a Founding Operator at Coalition Network.
